Dinggao 1034 Not Lego Friendship House Set Review

Hi and welcome back to Its-Not-Lego.  You might know this set as Lego 41340 Friendship House but did you know that this Friends building has been copied by not less than five different bootleg brick  brands?  A quick search for Friendship House on Aliexpress reveals that this set can be found as Lepin 01063, Bela 10859, Lele 37077 and Sheng Yuan SY1006.   The version I got is from a new brand called Dingao or DG, set number 1034.

Here's the instruction manual that I got with the Friendship House set.  It  says DG Girls Club with the set number 1034 with 730 pieces.  The set variation that I got doesn't have the roll up door nor the bicycle and tool cart.  That alternate set has 808 pieces.

Here's a shot of the back of the manual.   There are twelve un-numbered bags in the set, a sticker sheet, 3 Friends style minifigs and 2 Friends style pets.

I emptied all the parts from the bags and then re-sorted them by colours for fun.  I put the yellow, brown and red pieces together.

Here's the beige pieces.

 The turquoise pieces.

 Lime green and dark green.

The pink, lavender, and purple bricks.

Gray and black pieces.

Minifigs, clear pieces and minor accessories.

 Tan pieces.

 White pieces.

 The sticker sheet.

The Friendship House and Tree with swing.

A closer look at the Tree and working swing.  There's some flowers that are supposed to be added to the leaves, but I didn't bother with those or the stickers.

There's a balcony that sits over the carport. I think I was supposed to get a microphone but couldn't find that part.  I'm not sure why they put an alarm bell on the building.

Maybe it serves as a smoke alarm if something starts burning on the barbeque grill.

It's odd that there are glass panels for the smaller windows but none for the larger windows.  Not sure if this is only on this 730 piece set or not.

The hair piece for one of the minifigs was so gross, that I decided not to display it.

Maybe the Friendship house is supposed to be a fire department?  That would explain the pole that runs the entire height of the building.  I believe that's supposed to be a hamster wheel near the bottom?  Would probably be better suited in the Friends Pet Hospital set.

Here's the rooftop jacuzzi.

There's sleeping for five on the third floor.  And a dining table on the second floor with seating for five as well.

There's supposed to be a winch that lowers but I never attached the rope.

I think the set should have included a car since they have a carport/garage built into the house.

The barbeque patio has two sunbeds and access to the slide.  There are ladders to the third floor and rooftop only.  The set designer should have added another ladder behind the slide to get to the second floor.

Oops, I forgot to take a picture of the kitchen on the main floor.

 Last look.

As with all my bootleg Friends sets, I don't keep them around.  I buy them cheap and use them for parts fodder.  That's why I don't bother applying the stickers or putting the final details on the Friendship House.  The minifigs and bricks that I can't use, such as the turquoise, pink, purple and lavender parts are given to my friends kids.  The remainder of the parts will be incorporated into future modular buildings for my Its-Not-Lego town.  I estimate that I can reuse about 60 to 70% of the set.

Lepin 01011 Not Lego Friends Pizzeria Set Review

Welcome! It's time to look at another bootleg Lego set at Its-Not-Lego.blogspot.com.   Pictured above is the Friends Heartlake Pizzeria, this one is the Lepin 01011 set which knocks off the Lego set 41311.   I paid $12 USD for the Lepin set, where the Lego version will cost you about $30 USD.

Here's how the set looks like if you buy it from Aliexpress. This set has 299 pieces and comes with a delivery scooter and two friends style minifigs.   I've replaced the friends style minifigs with my own.
The brick quality and clutch is excellent.  I didn't get any scuffed bricks or missing pieces.  I also didn't get any extra pieces either.

Here is Lena, she now works at the pizzeria.

Normally, in the set reviews,  I show you pictures of set during construction, but this time we will look at the completed set.  The two storey building comes as shown with a main floor store front, a door and two windows with colourful awnings.  On the second floor, there is an outdoor terrace with seating for two.  The second floor also has an awning, a decorative railing and some foliage.

When we turn the set around we find the kitchen is housed on the main floor.  As you enter the front door, there is a cash register and a phone for taking pizza orders.  On the other side is a small table with some blue tart shells.

There's a prep area with some kitchen utensils, like the cool rolling pin, some dough, a hand mixer and a cooktop and sink.  The pizza oven can hold two pizzas at the same time.

I don't know why but I decided not to install the box behind the scooter.

It's now easier to just to toss the pizzas in, when you deliver the pizzas.

Lena thanks you for visiting her pizzeria.

Lena's little brother Bruno, thanks you too.

Here is the Lepin pizzeria deconstructed.  I took it apart already because I have big plans for the pizzeria.  Can you guess what that might be?   Stay tuned!

Bela 10541 Not Lego Emma's House Friends Set Review

I wasn't planning on buying the Bela brand 10541 Emma's House building set.  But then I saw the set being sold on Aliexpress for half off it's normal Aliexpress price (which is like half price of Lego's price), so I couldn't resist.  This set comes with three Friends style mini figures and has 731 pieces.

The set comes packaged in several bags and includes a glossy instruction manual in booklet form.  Emma's House comes as a two level sectional building.  I don't want to call it a modular because it doesn't fit with the other Lego type modular buildings.

You get two 16x32 green base plates to construct the building on.  Here's one of the lower levels completed.  The front entrance features an arched entrance with a stepping stone path leading to the front door.  The original front door was dark pink, but I've replaced it with a different door.   There is a creeping flower vine on one side the house and a water tap and bucket on the other side.  You also get an entrance light and what looks to be a keypad.

So that was the outside of the house, now let's look at the inside.  We have what appears to be a living room setup, with a couch, a coffee table with planter and a big screen TV.

The other lower level sectional features a large window with a mailbox, small picket fence and fire hydrant.  I put a small tree there, but I don't think it comes with the set.   There is also  a small platform used to setup a painting easel.

When we look at the inside of this sectional unit, we find a kitchen and dining room complete with seating for three.  A free standing light fixture is one of the other furnishings.  In the kitchen, you get a hand mixer located on top of the oven.

Here's the outside of the second floor.  I like these windows and wish they would use them on more of the modular buildings.

Oops, we caught Harley Quinn in the bathroom, let's not look too closely at the makeup counter, flush toilet and big spa tub.

Over on the other side of the building, is an outdoor balcony with sliding door on the second floor.

If we come back inside from the upstairs balcony, there is a bedroom with a desk and bed.

I think I put this second floor section on the wrong first floor section. Oh well, I guess you're supposed to change them anyway you want.

Oh wait, I almost forgot about the rooftop deck, where there is a small table and stool.  Hmm, I smell dinner cooking on the BBQ.   The rooftop patio is surrounded by glass and has great views of Lepin Town.

Here's the assembled Bela Emma's House, front view.

And here's the back of Emma's House.

In case you were wondering what the Bela Friends minifigs look like, here they are.  I don't know their names, but if you are a Friends fan, you probably already know.

Emma's House comes with other accessories including  painter's easel, a bird bath and a flowering tree too.   The Bela brick and build quality is comparable to Lego's, and I didn't have any missing parts.  The future of this Emma's House in my collection is uncertain.  Either I will tear it down for parts or I might try to rebuild it in modular style.  What would you do?  Tear it down or rebuild it?
